The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the main regulatory body for drones (also known as unmanned aircraft systems or UAS) in the United States. Some of the key rules and regulations regarding drone operations set by the FAA include:
Drones must be flown within visual line-of-sight (VLOS) of the operator, meaning the operator must be able to see the drone at all times.
Drones must not be flown higher than 400 feet above ground level (AGL) or higher than 400 feet above a structure.
Drones must not be flown over people, except for those directly participating in the operation.
Drones must not be flown at night without proper lighting and authorization.
Drones must be flown at or below a maximum groundspeed of 100 mph.
Drones must be registered with the FAA if they weigh over 0.55 pounds.
Drones must be flown in compliance with airspace restrictions and regulations.
Drones must not be flown in a manner that poses a hazard to other aircraft or people on the ground.
Pilots must be at least 16 years old and pass an aeronautical knowledge test.
Pilots must also follow all instructions given by air traffic control, if operating in controlled airspace.
Our company offers a range of drone services including aerial photography, inspections, mapping, surveying, and more. We also provide customized solutions to meet the specific needs of our clients
Yes, our pilots are fully certified and trained to fly drones safely and efficiently
The cost of our services varies depending on the specific project and the services required. We provide free quotes and estimates to our clients, so they know the cost upfront
We have strict safety protocols in place to ensure the safe operation of our drones. This includes pre-flight checks, constant monitoring during flight, and emergency procedures.
Drone Reaction Pilots have an active Remote Pilot Certificate. In order to fly your drone under the FAA's Small UAS Rule (Part 107), you must obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA. This certificate demonstrates that you understand the regulations, operating requirements, and procedures for safely flying drones
The Federal Aviation Administration "FAA" sets special requirements based on location, airspace, and other factors
When using the Contact Us Form, please indicate the address where the drone service is required. We will check and let you know within 3 business days if authorization is required
In most cases, a preliminary trip to site will be required prior to the event date. This will give us the opportunity to survey the area and deduce valuable information prior to service date
Everything needs planning. Drone photography is no exception. There have been situations when FAA issued Flight Advisory which means a drone cannot be operated on certain day at a certain time. Also, certain location may require airspace authorization prior to flying the drone. It can take up to 90 days for the FAA to make a decision whether to approve or deny the application. Moreover, a Waiver might also be needed. Please be cognitive of the above requirement and plan accordingly
In this case, we will apply for the additional authorization. Please note that, it may take up to 90 days for the application to be approved or denied
Yes!! We cannot operate and fly the drone in the following conditions. Rain, snow, thunderstorm, high winds, foggy, freezing temperature due to safety concerns
